But before the wax melts and the sink fresheners and the beautifully scented bath dust, there was just a kitchen in Devon, a love of fragrance, and a question that wouldn't go away: why is it so hard to find home products that are both effective and kind?
A Small Batch Beginning
Wonky Cow was born in Devon — and if you know Devon, you'll know it's the kind of place that makes you slow down, breathe deeply, and pay attention to the things that matter. That spirit is baked into everything we make.
We're a small, family-run business, and we started the way most good things do: out of necessity and a little bit of stubbornness. We wanted home fragrance and cleaning products that were handmade with real care, free from nasties, and genuinely lovely to use. When we couldn't find exactly what we were looking for, we made it ourselves.
What began as small-batch experiments — testing scents, refining formulas, obsessing over textures — grew into a full range of products crafted with the same attention to detail we had on day one. Every product that leaves our Devon workshop is made by hand, in small batches, because we believe that's the only way to get it right.
